U-PVC

UPVC is made from polyvinyl chloride (PVC), usually in the form of granules or powder, with other ingredients added to enhance its structural strength and color. This mixture is formed by heating it to 360 degrees Fahrenheit to a molten state, and then shaped into the required profiles.

UPVC profiles are designed to withstand impact very effectively, withstanding impacts of up to 3 kilograms from a height of one meter at a temperature of 23 degrees Celsius.
It is a popular building material in the window and door industry thanks to its many properties that include:

  1. Fire Resistant:
UPVC is a material with a low ignition rate, which means it requires a very high temperature to ignite. Moreover, when exposed to fire, UPVC charcoalizes rather than ignites, which helps limit the spread of fire.

  2. Watertight: UPVC is characterized by being airtight, making it excellent at preventing water from seeping in, which is especially important in areas that experience heavy rainfall.

  3. Soundproof:
With its dense and durable construction, UPVC provides good sound insulation, making it a preferred choice in noisy urban areas or near airports and highways.

  4. Corrosion-resistant:
UPVC is not affected by corrosion that can occur due to various factors such as moisture and chemicals in the atmosphere. making it ideal for use in a variety of environmental zones.

  5. Electrical insulator:
UPVC is an electrically insulating material. making it safe for use in many structural and electrical applications.

  6. Low coefficient of thermal expansion:
This means that UPVC does not expand or contract significantly with temperature changes. This keeps windows and doors made from it stable and durable all year round.

  7. Heat insulation and energy saving:
UPVC helps minimize heat exchange between indoors and outdoors. This enhances the energy efficiency of buildings and reduces heating and cooling costs.

These properties make UPVC a favorite material in the window and door industry. But also in other applications such as roof coverings, partition walls and even in the manufacture of pipes and fittings.
